During the Born to Run tour, Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band would occasionally schedule softball games on off days with local radio station disc jockeys and pop-music critics to help with record promotions. The band’s tour bus would pull up to local recreational baseball fields and the band would come out in cleats and a full uniform - including this jersey with their team name, E Street Kings.
